Kasper Scmeichel
How impressive is this guy? Runs toward a crashed helicopter on fire to try and save the occupants. Tries to break up a mass brawl between his team mates and opponents, then today initially stops his teammates crowding Erickson and then gets them to organise a shield around Erickson whilst he is treated. On the day more honours were announced I definitely thinking he is deserving of one next time. Who's going to nominate him? At the very least whenever he is announced on the team as our gaff he should get a standing ovation. Terrific human being.

Fair play to Kasper and Kjaer. They seem to be proper blokes.

Re: Kasper Scmeichel
Going a bit over the top here. Yeah he seems like an alright bloke. He's an alright keeper too.

Giving him credit for bogging at a geezer getting CPR is a bit fucking dim though, but that doesn't surprise me coming from a bloke who is too scared to get his jab.

Facing away is just being respectful. Like not turning to look when you drive past a big pile-up (and causing a traffic jam)

Re: Kasper Scmeichel
Kjaer was colossal.

He (along with Schmeichel and Maehle) even had the balls to face up at what was happening while the rest of the team (unsurprisingly) faced away when they were shielding Eriksen while he was given CPR.

Forget Kasper.
Alex Scott managed to text her mum to tell her she loved her.

Re: Kasper Scmeichel
Kjaer was impressive getting to him quickly , getting him on his side and clearing his airwave.
As were the Danish players making that protective circle around him.

Understand the players were given the option of restarting or coming back at midday the next day.
Think they decided playing was the better option over a game after a poor nights sleep worrying about their mate.
Obviously in a tournament there are few spare days (Finland are in St Petersburg on Wed) but in hindsight both teams should have been given a third option of abandoning it and calling it a 0-0 draw.

Branded - Yea agreed. It's things like this where the proper men stand out, that's not knocking others. mere mortals, but it has to be said. You see it as you go along in life, I was sitting outside a restaurant a few months back, was a few people around, then some fella suddenly collapsed on the pavement, most sat around not having a clue how to react, but from the pack a fella emerged and he just knew what to do, got the guy comfortable and was yelling out instructions to others. It was pretty impressive.

PS: And no, I wasn't the hero.

Imagine if Harry Kane collapsed how many players would have to help hold his tongue

BRANDED 9:46 Mon Jun 14
Re: Kasper Scmeichel
Massive respect to Simon Kjær, he made sure that Eriksen didn't swallow his tongue when he was unconscious, made sure he was in the right position, got the squad to surround Eriksen so the media didn't continue filming him and made sure Eriksen's wife was comforted.

True Leadership

It was a terrible thing to watch but Kasper and the captain was super, good young men, a dying breed.

What did you expect him to do? Start shadow boxing in the centre circle?

Not as impressive as Simon Kjaer who stopped Eriksen swallowing his tongue, administered the first CPR and THEN comforted his wife.

Bearing in mind his dad has an honorary MBE I'm sure that Kasper can get one too!

Rarely do you find a half decent goalkeeper who isn't a decent bloke to boot.

Playing between the sticks from a young age teaches you a great deal about life and how to react to it's ups and downs.

Fuck me I sound like Hugh Monteith.

"This was the first state visit by a Communist head of state to the UK, and Ceausescu was given a knighthood by the Queen, which was revoked on the day before his death in 1989"

Successful foreign dictators can have them, but failed ones can't.
